Introducing the All-New 2024 Honda CR-V

Our team is excited to share the details of the All-New CR-V, a sporty, rugged crossover SUV, modernized with an updated and sophisticated design. With the introduction of this new vehicle, we are pleased to take you through some of the CR-V’s updated design, suite of available technology, performance capabilities, as well as the multiple safety features of this remarkable new vehicle.

Moving to the interior, the All-New CR-V sports a clean, high-quality feel of materials along with upscale touches. This modern interior is predicated on the new Honda design direction. This new generation CR-V is both more comfortable and spacious than any past generation. Notably, a larger front-to-rear-seat distance and more rear seat legroom, by 15.2 mm. The rear seats now feature eight angles of recline, for increased comfort.

Presenting in front of the driver, the instrument panel, which has been designed with minimal cutlines to reduce windshield reflections and other visual distractions. The striking metal honeycomb mesh that spans the dash serves as both form and function, concealing the air vents that would otherwise mar an uncluttered and harmonious design.

DESIGN

Peace of mind is key in the CR-V. That’s why it’s equipped with LED daytime running lights and LED high- and low-beam headlights. All specially-engineered to give you enhanced visibility so you can brave the elements with confidence. A sweet Honeycomb grille gives the CR-V a brawny look, but adds function to form with the active shutter lower front grille that’s engineered to help enhance aerodynamics by closing and opening when the underhood system needs more cooling air. At the simple push of a button, the available one-touch power moonroof with tilt feature will fully open or close. All Honda CR-V trims come with all-season tires. All you’ll need to decide is: 17" steel rims or available 18" or 19" aluminum-alloy rims in black or silver

The 2024 Honda CR-V is a midsize SUV with a turbocharged or hybrid performance. The New Honda CR-V offers an impressive lineup of trim levels, including LX, EX, Sport Hybrid, EX-L, Sport-L Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid. The 2024 Honda CR-V has a spacious, five-passenger interior with body-stabilizing front seats, a cargo capacity of up to 76.5 cubic feet and a configurable 2nd-row seatback that can recline, fold and split to accommodate your needs.

TECHNOLOGY

The standard 7" (and available 9") touchscreen is your portal to the centralized system that controls your settings and the loads of tech features in your CR-V. Like the available 12-speaker BOSE® system (including a subwoofer) and the available Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™* with bilingual Voice Recognition. Skip the hassle and risk of fumbling with cords by charging your compatible smartphone with the available wireless charging pad. Every CR-V trim comes with a 7" colour TFT centre meter display with Driver Information Interface which conveniently indicates essential info: speedometer, odometer, fuel consumption (and battery charge on hybrid models), and more. It even connects you to your music and navigation system, all with a touch of a button on the steering wheel

Combined system output has increased to 204 horsepower, while the traction-motor peak torque rises to 247 lb.-ft. of torque, making the 2024 CR-V Hybrid Touring the most powerful CR-V ever. Every gas-only powered CR-V trim boasts a 1.5-litre, 16-valve, Direct Injection, DOHC, turbocharged VTEC® 4-cylinder engine that produces 190 horsepower and 179 lb.-ft of torque. While the continuously variable transmission (CVT) offers a wide ratio range for a more fuel-efficient, natural-feeling drive.

The continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) for the 1.5-litre turbo has been updated to reduce noise and vibration. Significant drivability and performance improvements include Step-Shift programming, which simulates familiar gear changes when at full throttle. An updated Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System™ greatly improves traction management in slippery conditions, like snow and mud. Available on LX, and standard on Sport, EX-L, and Touring, the system can now send up to 50 percent of engine torque to the rear wheels.

 

CR-V Performance Features

A sportier and more engaging driving experience was created through a revised chassis that boasts a significantly stronger frame structure. The result is a crossover SUV that’s engineered to perform and designed to match your active lifestyle.

For 2024 , the CR-V is not only more powerful, but it’s even more capable as a Hybrid model, which is the standard powerplant on the Touring trim-level. The CR-V Hybrid Touring features an all-new two-motor hybrid-electric system with a newly refined 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine mated to a pair of electric motors that are now mounted side-by-side. This new configuration offers more power and a sportier driving feel with the use of a larger and more powerful propulsion motor with increased torque output.

The All-New CR-V features Honda’s latest version of its Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) architecture, specifically designed to meet present and anticipated future collision standards, while minimizing additional weight. Extensive use of lightweight materials, such as aluminum and high-strength steel help in this effort. For the first time, CR-V features standard knee and rear-passenger side impact airbags.

CR-V now features a Driver Attention Monitor, which issues a warning on the dash when it senses the driver is becoming inattentive. Standard Rear Seatbelt Reminder and Rear Seat Reminder are new to CR-V; the latter notifies drivers to check the rear seating area for children, pets or other precious cargo when exiting the vehicle. Honda Sensing® Technologies

A new Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver assistive technologies integrates a new wide-angle camera with millimetre-wave radar. This new camera features a 90-degree field of view, while the radar has a 120-degree field of view. This wide angle improves collision prevention performance through an improved ability to recognize attributes of objects, such as vehicles or pedestrians, as well as white lines, road boundaries (like curbs), other vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcycles, and road signs. The wide angle also enables expanded control range for CR-V at intersections.

Blind spot information is now standard. Also new are: Traffic Jam Assist, Low-Speed Braking Control, and Traffic Sign Recognition. Additionally, there’s more natural responses for existing features, such as: Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, & Lane Keeping Assist.
